Buckland Carriage Company was established in 1987 by a group of enthusiasts for Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars. We currently have at our disposal 11 cars of varying styles and ages. These cars are, in some instances, unique or have a special history, which distinguishes them from other more run-of-the-mill motorcars used for wedding hire. A number of our cars have won prizes at concours events and all are maintained in first-class condition as only enthusiasts cars can be.

Your wedding is, therefore, an opportunity for us to show off our cars for the benefit of you and your guests on your special day.

We have a policy that each car attends only one wedding per day. This allows you the opportunity to enjoy your cars without them having to "dash off" to the next wedding. As our chauffeurs are paid partly by time there is clearly a limit to the amount of time cars can remain with you after arriving at the reception but as the cars are an important part of the ambience of your wedding, you clearly wish to have time for your guests to appreciate the care, trouble and thought that has gone into the transport arrangements for your special day.

Our vintage cars are mainly 1920s motorcars. As such they are quite unusual and full of character. Vintage cars, however, have been known on occasion to "cease to proceed" and to guard against the unforeseen as best we can, we always keep one motorcar in reserve so that should your chosen car be unable to attend the wedding for any reason, we have a suitable alternative available.

With 17 years of experience of ferrying several thousand brides to their weddings, Buckland Carriage Company are confident that they can provide that unusual combination of style, uniqueness and luxury which will mark your day as something truly special in the eyes of your guests. In terms of the costs of your wedding taken as a whole, the motorcars forming the transport for the event will represent a relatively minor part of that cost. Your selection of wedding cars, however, will be noted by all who attend and the appropriateness and uniqueness of that selection will make a major contribution to the perception of your wedding by your guests.
