Daffodil was built in 1926 for a lady owner in Kensington. She was obviously
a smoker since the car is provided with the opening skylight in the rear
to assist in the exhaust of smoke from the passenger compartment. The
car is the Rolls-Royce 20 horsepower and has been worked hard throughout
its life. It spent a long period as a taxi during the latter part of the
Second World War and was again used in the early 1950’s as a taxi
by the Montagu Arms in Beaulieu Hampshire to ferry guests to and from
the local railway station. The car was purchased by its present owner
in 1987 and has now completed nearly 500,000 miles!
